Sacred Gita is a tablet writing companion for the Bhagavad Gita. This page explains, in plain language, what we store and what we don't.

Your handwriting is temporary

Handwriting is used only while you practise the current verse. New strokes are not saved or uploaded, and previously saved handwriting is not restored when you return. Your completed verses are remembered separately.

Your progress stays in this browser

Sacred Gita is free for everyone with no account. Your browser stores:

• Which verses you've completed
• Your writing streak
• The date you started
• Your app settings (ink colour, guide opacity, and similar preferences)

Account sign-in and cloud sync are not available in this version. Progress does not transfer automatically to another device or browser. Clearing this site's browser data removes your progress, settings and any legacy handwriting data left by earlier versions.

No tracking

The writing app does not use analytics or advertising trackers.

Painting reactions

When you react to a painting, the shared reaction service stores your choice and updates its public totals. A random identifier in this browser lets you change or remove your reaction. The service hashes this identifier and uses a hashed network address to limit abuse. Your name, handwriting and verse progress are not sent with reactions. Clearing browser data resets your reaction identifier; it does not remove earlier reactions from public totals.

Optional donations

If you choose one-time or monthly support, the donation link opens a separate Stripe payment page. Stripe collects the contact and payment information you enter there and processes payments under its privacy policy. The recipient of new donations, Technologies InstantHPI Inc, can access donation records such as your contact details, the amount paid and recurring donation or cancellation status. Stripe's management portal uses your donation email address to let you manage or cancel monthly support. Your full card number is not stored in the writing app, and donating does not send your handwriting or progress to Stripe.

Records of earlier payments and subscriptions collected by Carlos Faviel Font MD Inc remain with that Stripe account and are accessible to that recipient. Changing the recipient for new donations does not transfer those historical records or subscriptions to Technologies InstantHPI Inc. Use the earlier-support portal linked in the terms to manage those subscriptions.

Gita text

The Sanskrit verse text, transliteration and English translation are drawn from the gita and Vedic Scriptures open verse projects.
